FIVE THINGS TO EXPECT IN THE FIRST MONTHS OF GRIEF

FIVE THINGS TO EXPECT IN THE FIRST MONTHS OF GRIEF

I was widowed twice (1997 and 2021).

Both times turned my world upside down. I thought I was loosing my mind.  It turns out I was in the  grieving  process:   I was not going crazy  just having 5 major things happening to me.      First, I  felt the  sadness and  confusion of  not having  my husband  with me.

Second,  the  tears  would flow often and unexpectedly -triggered by  a song,  a picture,  a piece of mail!

Third, the  physical pain in my legs surprised me. My energy disappeared.

Fourth, my friendships shifted as  some tried to comfort me and others distanced themselves!      Fifth, my usual  organized  care of chores  declined into numbness and indecision.

You may  feel this too, but know that you are not going crazy. As you release your feelings though prayer,  sharing your story with others for writing it in a journal, your healing happens. Your journey is unique to you .

Grief is not an option.  You must  walk though it to get relief and  a  new  season of life.  I wish you blessings on your journey.
